Alkenes

• How Do You Draw (E)-1-Phenyl-1,3-butadiene?
Draw the four-carbon conjugated diene with phenyl and the remaining carbon chain on opposite sides of C1=C2 to show the E geometry.
• How to Assign Re and Si Faces of Alkenes
Assign Re or Si at a specified trigonal alkene carbon by ranking its three ligands, then tracing priorities 1–2–3 from the face you are viewing.
