Editorial policy
Our goal is simple: every answer should be correct, complete and easier to follow than what you would find elsewhere.
1. Original answers
We write our own explanations. We do not republish answers from Q&A sites, forums or textbooks. When a result or method comes from a specific source, we cite it in the article's references.
2. Use of AI tools
Our articles are drafted with AI writing tools. A draft is published only after it passes the checks below, and any article that fails them is corrected, rewritten or discarded.
3. Verification
- Independent fact-check: every draft is checked by a separate verification pass that recomputes each calculation and derivation, checks definitions, conditions and code, and either approves the article, corrects specific errors, or rejects it.
- Automated checks: every equation must render, articles must meet length and structure standards, and internal links must resolve before an article can be published.
- Calculators: each calculator is covered by automated tests against known values.
- Human review: an editor spot-checks a regular sample of published articles and reviews every article a reader reports. Articles that show "Reviewed by" have been read in full by the named person.
4. Updates and corrections
Articles show their last update date. When we correct a substantive error, we update the date. Reader reports are read and answered through the contact page.
5. Independence
We do not accept payment to publish, link to or rank content.
